No additional BBC Hindi service on SW for now

According to Andy Sennitt in Media Network BBC World Service has no immediate plans to resume the three Hindi shortwave transmissions that have been added to the HFCC transmission schedule with an indicated start date of 1 May 2011. These are so-called ‘wooden’ entries which may be used in the future if additional funding can be found, but at the moment the 1400-1500 UTC transmission is the only one on the air.

11790-New VOA Bengali freq

In order to improve reception of VOA Bangla at 1600-1700 UTC a new freq 11790 kHz is to be introduced on 28th April 2011 replacing 9320 kHz. The other parallel channels a this time 7475 kHz and the MW 1575 will continue.

BBC Hindi back on SW

From 18th April 2011 BBC Hindi can again be heard on SW for all its 4 daily transmissions as per the following schedule :
0100-0130 1413 6065 9425 11995 13745 15510 kHz
0230-0300 11995 15660 17510 17655 kHz
1400-1500 1413 7565 9685 11795 15470 kHz - current service available
1700-1730 1413 5910 7460 9605 11740 kHz
